Senior Educational Psychologist

Duncan Gillard is a Bristol-based senior educational psychologist and an experienced practitioner, trainer and supervisor in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Trained at the University of Exeter, his route into contextual behavioural science grew out of several years spent travelling and teaching yoga and mindfulness in Asia before he moved into educational psychology. He writes and teaches on the application of ACT within schools and is a co-author, with Freddy Jackson Brown, of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Dummies. His published work includes a widely cited 2018 paper, with Paul Flaxman and Nic Hooper, on applications of ACT for educational psychologists working in schools.
